Luxury Travel Buenos Aires & Uruguay

Please note: this private tour to Argentina & Uruguay is an example, as all of our luxury journeys are custom-made.

Buenos Aires (2 nights)

Upon arrival in the cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires, your personal host will take you by private transfer to a 5-star hotel of your choice. On the first day of your luxury Argentina tour, you’ll discover Buenos Aires’ main sightseeing attractions, including some of the city’s museums and the world-renowned Recoleta cemetery. You’ll explore local fairs and antique markets, then take part in a private cooking class or wine tasting session with an expert sommelier.

During your stay, you can enjoy a private tango lesson followed by a traditional tango show, or attend a live performance at the famed Teatro Colón following a private tour of the landmark (with exclusive access to the theater’s backstage studios and dressing rooms). Should you wish, we can organize a private biking tour through the gorgeous parks of the Palermo neighborhood, where you will stop for a break to try mate (Argentina’s famous herbal tea) while surrounded by over 14,000 rose bushes in the Rosedal garden. In the evenings, dine on authentic gourmet meals and sample creative cocktails in the city’s finest restaurants and bars.

José Ignacio (4 nights)

After a 50-minute flight to Punta del Este, Uruguay, you will be greeted by your hostess and taken by private transfer to your accommodation near José Ignacio. This small village is a sophisticated retreat for families seeking a tranquil escape. You will stay at one of three luxury properties, all part of the celebrated Vik collection: Bahía Vik, Playa Vik, or Estancia Vik.

The Uruguayan coast is characterized by charming towns, rolling countryside, tranquil beaches, and excellent restaurants serving gourmet seafood and local wines. There is also an array of water and land activities to choose from such as fishing, golfing, kayaking, kite-surfing, surfing, or even polo lessons.

During your trip, you will be taken to a special bodega for a tasting of some of Uruguay’s best wines and olive oils. From there, bike to the sleepy village of Garzón, a picturesque settlement with a population of 198, where acclaimed chef Francis Mallmann chose to establish his small yet elegant restaurant that gives a taste of Uruguay’s traditional roots. In the early evening, enjoy a horseback riding excursion across lagoons, over the sandy dunes of the coast, passing a fisherman’s village, and finally through a secluded forest to arrive at a private BBQ for you and your party to enjoy under the stars.

On another afternoon, head down the coast to the artist colony of La Barra, which boasts a beautiful seascape and independent artisan galleries. Then return to your resort to take advantage of its amenities and unwind by the pool or indulge in a relaxing spa treatment. Should you wish, we can arrange for golfing at one of the excellent courses nearby.

No private Uruguay tour would be complete without sampling the finest cuisine this area has to offer, therefore we will arrange reservations at the some of the continent’s most famous restaurants, including La Huella. Afterwards, if you wish to go out, we will arrange for you to enjoy some of the high profile events and parties which have made this part of Uruguay famous in its December-February summer season.

On the last day of your luxury trip to Uruguay, drive to the airport to catch your connection for your international flight home.
