OSLO

Founded at the end of the Viking Age, Oslo has since developed into Norway's modern and sophisticated capital. Framed by forested hills and the Oslofjord, the city has transformed its former docklands into a dynamic arts and museum district. Key landmarks such as Akershus Fortress, the Oslo Opera House and Oslo City Hall reflect its rich history and civic pride. Serving as the gateway to Norway’s fjords and wilderness, Oslo offers a refined introduction to the country’s dramatic natural landscapes.

FJORD REGION

The fjords of Norway are a dramatic natural wonder, where deep blue waterways carve through towering cliffs, glacier-shaped valleys and snow-capped peaks. This iconic landscape is scattered with remote farms, waterfalls and small villages set against an awe-inspiring scale of wilderness. At its heart lies Bergen, the “gateway to the fjords,” known for its colorful Bryggen Wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From here, scenic journeys lead into the Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord, often explored by ferry or the Flåm Railway through steep mountain terrain, while further north Ålesund offers access to the spectacular Geirangerfjord, another UNESCO-listed landmark framed by cliffs and cascading waterfalls, showcasing the raw beauty of Norway’s western fjord country.

ALTA

Alta lies beneath the glowing Arctic sky, where fjords, frozen rivers and snow-covered plateaus define one of Norway’s most remote and atmospheric landscapes. Known as a gateway to the wild Finnmark region, it offers direct access to the raw beauty of the Arctic Circle, where silence, space and shifting light shape the experience. The surrounding wilderness provides a striking backdrop for Arctic adventures, from dog sledding and snowmobiling across untouched terrain to exploring ancient rock carvings that trace human presence in the far north. Despite its isolation, Alta balances its rugged setting with warm Nordic hospitality, offering comfortable lodges, modern stays and local Arctic cuisine. A destination defined by contrast, it captures both the serenity and intensity of Norway’s far northern frontier.

LOFOTEN ISLANDS

Lofoten is one of Norway’s most spectacular Arctic regions, a dramatic archipelago rising above the Arctic Circle where jagged granite peaks meet sheltered bays, white-sand beaches and traditional fishing villages. Often described as a winter fairytale, the islands remain one of Scandinavia’s most striking natural discoveries, where nature dominates every horizon. Beneath the shifting Arctic light, the northern lights illuminate the sky in vivid colour during winter months, casting an otherworldly glow over the landscape. Beyond its scenery, Lofoten offers immersive experiences, from hiking across rugged coastal trails to witnessing the seasonal Arctic cod migration alongside local fishermen on traditional fishing vessels.

We were very satisfied with our trip to Norway. It was a trip of many firsts, from dog sledding and reindeer sledding to seeing the Northern Lights. It was a super active journey and was just great. The whole team was fantastic, upbeat, social and full of knowledge. This is one of our best trips in 23 years!

Everything on our trip to Norway and Denmark was great. The accommodations were really good, particularly the Storfjord in Alesund. Everything ran like a Swiss clock, and we didn't have to worry about anything. All the guides were good, knowledgeable, and outgoing. We loved our night in the private lighthouse; we watched the storm roll in as we relaxed in the hot tub. We also enjoyed the private boat excursion along the canals in Copenhagen. It was perfect.

Overall, we really enjoyed our tour to Norway. We loved the property in Alesund and would have happily spent more time there; the view was jaw-dropping! The downhill biking was an exciting activity and our guide was excellent. We travel frequently and I always try and arrange boating experiences on each trip. This private boat excursion was one of the best and most fun family travel experiences we've ever had; the captain was excellent and everything was stunningly beautiful. The lighthouse on the private island was fantastic - out of the park: the boys got to fish all day and they loved it, the chef prepared a delicious meal, the wood fired hot tub was great and we even got lucky enough to see the Northern Lights for around 20-25 minutes despite it being August! We also loved our hotel in Stockholm and our guide here was excellent. He was super knowledgeable and flexible with our plans - he even added the Viking Museum into our itinerary for the boys.

We visited Iceland, Norway and Sweden and overall, enjoyed our experience. Copenhagen was awesome; it was a cute city with absolutely amazing food. We enjoyed all the activities, as well as everyone we met along the way. Our guide in Stockholm was extremely knowledgeable and we had a good time with him. Highlights included the private helicopter tour in Iceland and the private cruise around Stockholm's archipelago. The Thief Hotel in Oslo was incredible. We are looking forward to our upcoming tour to Spain and Portugal this year.
