PRIVATE LODGING

SINGULAR ACCOMMODATIONS

Private villa on Cayo Espanto by clear Caribbean Sea

There’s no feeling like waking up to the mind-blowing views of the Torres del Paine mountain range from the comfort of your own private villa or listening to howling monkeys from the plunge pool of your private bungalow perched between branches of rainforest trees. Blue Parallel journeys have always been about unforgettable destinations, epic outdoor adventures, as well as experiential accommodations. We scout for remote, off-the-beaten-path, singular properties that are the ideal base for truly immersive experiences—these are a perfect fit for guests who are looking for exclusivity in destinations featuring natural or man-made wonders.

Privacy

We are always on the lookout for accommodations that allow guests to have their own space and relax in seclusion. Whether this means a private beach villa with a personal butler in Belize, your own riad in Marrakesh, or an 85,000 acre private estancia in wild Patagonia, all properties have been vetted by the Blue Parallel team and come fully staffed. These exclusive properties are ideal for couples, families, and even groups of friends who want to spend quality time together.

Experiences
of a Lifetime

Many of our favorite properties offer unique accommodations that are experiences of a lifetime unto themselves. In Lapland, travel to a private wilderness refuge by dog sled where you can enjoy utter silence, gourmet meals, and the northern lights. In Norway, stay on a remote island in a lighthouse where you will be the only guests. In Morocco, spend the night in the Sahara desert at your own private desert camp under the stars, or in Turkey, stay in a hotel restored from the ruins of an ancient village that was carved into the hillside.

Your stay also includes 3 tailored meals a day plus a pantry stocked with your favorite snacks, bar drinks, beers, sodas, fruit juice, and bottled water.

Private Colonial Villa, Cartagena

Blue Parallel has access to beautifully refurbished colonial homes located in the walled-in historic center of colonial Cartagena. One example is a 17th-century manor that once belonged to Don Sancho Jimeno de Orozco – Cartagena’s Governor in 1693. It has since been the setting of countless stories and many lives. In 1979 Fernando Botero, one of Colombia’s most famous artists purchased the residence. Today, Lina Botero, the daughter of Fernando, owns and operates the home. It is decorated somewhat eclectically by Lina, an interior designer and globetrotting curator of her father’s artwork. Her goal is to allow its guests to step into the past while enjoying the pleasures of the present. Blue Parallel has access to various restored villas in the center of Old Town and each one comes with a full staff, a refreshing swimming pool, and a deep-rooted history in the founding of this charming colonial city.

Private Estancias, Patagonia

Imagine yourself in the remote wilderness of Patagonia surrounded by unimpeded views of rolling mountains and dense forest. Blue Parallel has access to strategically located estancias providing an ideal access point to nearby outdoor adventures and wildlife viewing. There’s no greater luxury than being able to start an incredible trek right from the footpath of your remote private estancia. For example, in Punta Ninfas, guests can enjoy a walk towards a nearby beach to visit the Magellan penguin colony where you can learn about these adorable creatures. Of course, after a long day of exploration, spend your downtime in your fully equipped property with your own staff, and delicious meals.

Pacuare Lodge, Costa Rica

Feeling like a scene from Swiss Family Robinson, Pacuare Lodge is located along the remote banks of the Pacuare River where you can white-water raft to the entrance of the hotel. The lodge is among the most unique in Costa Rica with its elevated, treehouse bungalows surrounded by lush tropical foliage, located on the banks of the Pacuare River. The best villas have their own plunge pools where you can relax and enjoy the forest views. This lodge is also a real treat for bird lovers with daily private birding sessions in one of the most eco-diverse forests in the world!

Mari Mari Natural Reserve, Chile

Sprawling over 9,000 acres that include 13 miles of Pacific coastline, the lodge features 6 oceanfront villas that have their own private hot tub and open fireplace. Mari Mari Natural Reserve Experience brings a combination of luxury accommodation, fine dining, impeccable service, and life-changing activities to a relatively little-known coastal region of Chilean Patagonia. The experience is built on the principles and vestiges of the long-lost culture of Monte Verde people who once called this region home. The Monte Verde culture lived at one with the flora and fauna as opposed to dominating and destroying it. It made little impact leaving as small a footprint as humanly possible.

Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge, Brazil

Comfort and attentive service in the remote reaches of the jungle; the Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge is our preferred accommodation in the Brazilian Amazon, and is best reached via hydroplane.
