Your luxury journey through Ecuador begins in the elegant capital of Quito, which was recognized as the first UNESCO World Heritage City thanks to its extraordinary colonial heritage. Upon arrival in the evening, you will receive VIP airport assistance before being greeted by your personal host and transferred privately to Casa Gangotena, an exclusive luxury hotel overlooking the iconic Plaza San Francisco in the heart of the historic center.
The following day, discover Quito’s colonial treasures alongside your expert guide as you explore the beautifully preserved historic district. Visit landmarks such as Plaza Grande, the Presidential Palace, the San Agustín Monastery, and the magnificent Compañía de Jesús Church, renowned for its ornate gold-leaf interior. Climb the tower of the Quito Cathedral for sweeping views across the city’s tiled rooftops and surrounding Andean peaks. Later, enjoy a private lunch at the historic Convento de Santo Diego, a tranquil 17th-century Franciscan convent home to remarkable colonial artwork from both the Quito and Cusco Schools, and experience a traditional Ecuadorian dance performance presented by local artists. In the early evening, enjoy exclusive access to the Convent of Santo Domingo, where you can indulge in delicious cocktails and appetizers while overlooking the city from a privileged vantage point.
The next morning, take a commercial flight to Baltra in the Galapagos Islands, where you will be welcomed by your naturalist guide and transferred to your intimate luxury liveaboard designed specifically for diving enthusiasts exploring the Galapagos. After settling into your private cabin onboard, embark on an introductory check dive off Baltra’s northeastern coast, and enjoy a first glimpse at the extraordinary underwater world you’ll be discovering over the next six days. Each day of your luxury scuba diving tour brings a new adventure as you explore with expert bilingual naturalist guides.
Begin at Punta Carrion, where nutrient-rich currents attract schools of hammerhead sharks, rays, sea turtles, and playful sea lions. In certain seasons, you may also witness whale sharks as they feed on the plankton brought to the region by the Humboldt Current as it sweeps along the coast. Later, return to the comfort of the luxury vessel as it cruises north toward the remote Wolf Island, where you will anchor. Admire the breathtaking starlit skies above you as you savor a delicious dinner onboard the boat.
The next day, explore the legendary waters surrounding Wolf Island, diving at renowned sites such as Shark Bay, La Banana, La Ventana Islet, and El Derrumbe. On this day, expect to see schools of hammerhead sharks gliding through the currents alongside Galapagos sharks, eagle rays, sea turtles, and colorful tropical fish, all while sea lions weave effortlessly among the dramatic volcanic formations along the shoreline.
Continue your journey north to Darwin Island, home to the iconic Darwin’s Arch and some of the most spectacular diving on Earth. At El Arenal and the waters surrounding Darwin’s Tower, experience exhilarating drift dives through nutrient-rich currents teeming with marine life, including hammerhead sharks, dolphins, eagle rays, and sea turtles. With luck, you may also encounter whale sharks, tiger sharks, or orcas in these remote Pacific waters.
The next day, revisit some of the most thrilling dive sites surrounding Wolf and Darwin Islands, including El Derrumbe and Shark Bay. Explore dramatic underwater cliffs and volcanic formations inhabited by Galapagos sharks, bull sharks, eagle rays, and sea turtles. Later that day, return to El Arenal to catch a glimpse of the remarkable biodiversity that has made the Galapagos legendary among divers worldwide.
Your luxury tour continues toward the dramatic western shores of Isabela Island, where volcanic landscapes meet nutrient-rich waters filled with marine life. At Vicente Roca Point, discover towering cliffs inhabited by Galapagos penguins, flightless cormorants, fur seals, and marine iguanas. Continue to Cape Douglas, one of the only places in the world where marine iguanas can be observed feeding underwater among vibrant tropical fish and striking lava formations.
End your scuba diving experience at Cousin Rock, a fascinating and colorful site known for its coral formations, seahorses, nudibranchs, reef fish, and resting whitetip sharks. You might also spot eagle rays, barracudas and sea lions. Then, disembark your vessel to explore the lush highlands of Santa Cruz Island, where giant tortoises roam freely through endemic forests. Explore ancient lava tunnels and observe native birdlife, including Darwin’s finches and Galapagos flycatchers, before returning to the liveaboard for your final evening onboard.
After breakfast, disembark your luxury vessel and go by group transfer to the airport for your commercial flight back to Quito. Upon arrival, connect with your international departure flight back home.
