Atacama Desert (3 nights)
Your luxury journey through the natural wonders of Chile and Argentina begins in Chile’s capital of Santiago. Upon arrival, receive VIP airport assistance and board your small private jet to the Atacama Desert. Your personal host will greet you at Calama airport and transfer you in private to Awasi Atacama, an intimate, all-villa luxury lodge set on a private reserve near the oasis town of San Pedro de Atacama, at 8,000 feet above sea level. Surrounded by desert plains, volcanoes, and vast open skies, the lodge offers a serene base from which to explore one of the most dramatic landscapes on Earth. Enjoy some time at leisure to settle into the rhythm of the desert and relax at the property.
You’ll embark on a custom-made itinerary of excursions tailored to your level of fitness and interests. Explore the Atacama salt flats as they shimmer at sunset, where flamingos gather in the mineral-rich lagoons, trek through the Valley of the Moon among sculpted rock formations and rolling dunes, and bike through the narrow, wind-carved canyons of the Devil’s Throat. A sunset aperitif can also be arranged overlooking the desert as shifting light transforms the landscape. Afternoons are reserved for relaxation at your lodge or time to wander the historic streets of San Pedro de Atacama at your own pace.
The Atacama Desert is known for having some of the best stargazing in the world and while here, you’ll have the opportunity to admire some of the clearest night skies. Accompanied by a professional astronomer, enjoy exclusive access to a private observatory where you will view constellations and learn more about deep-space phenomena unique to this region.
Torres del Paine (3 nights)
Your luxury journey continues in Patagonia. Depart the Atacama Desert on your small private jet and fly south to Puerto Natales where you will be greeted by your personal host and transferred in private to your luxury hotel in the Torres del Paine National Park. Tierra Patagonia is a striking contemporary lodge set on the shores of Lake Sarmiento, designed to blend into the surrounding Patagonian landscape. With sweeping views of the park’s iconic peaks, pampas, and glacial lakes, it offers a refined and immersive base from which to explore one of South America’s most dramatic wilderness regions.
Spend the next few days exploring the park with your private expert naturalist guide, choosing from a variety of epic active adventures tailored to you. Whether you are interested in hiking, biking, boating or horseback riding, you’ll have the chance to discover the raw natural beauty of Chilean Patagonia. As you traverse this vast landscape, take in sweeping views of turquoise lakes, glaciers, and jagged peaks while watching for guanacos, foxes, condors, and, with luck, elusive pumas. For the ultimate Patagonian experience, we recommend the challenging Base of the Towers hike or a day in the French Valley, which is accessed by boat across Lake Pehoé.
In the evenings, indulge in a recommended spa treatment at the lodge or relax in the pool before savoring a refined Patagonian meal at the restaurant.
El Calafate (2 nights)
Continue your journey in Argentine Patagonia following a short flight to El Calafate onboard your small private jet. Your personal host will greet you upon arrival, ahead of a private transfer to your luxury accommodation, Eolo. This secluded lodge overlooks the vast Patagonian steppe and is surrounded by sweeping plains, distant mountains, and endless skies. Savor a delicious lunch at the property’s restaurant and admire panoramic views of Patagonia before embarking on your first active outdoor adventure in the region. We recommend horseback riding through the Anita Valley with a private guide or trekking independently along one of the many the surrounding trails.
The following day, you will witness one of Patagonia’s most iconic natural wonders: the extraordinary Perito Moreno Glacier, located in the UNESCO status Los Glaciares National Park. Here, it is possible to experience a guided ice-trekking excursion atop the glacier, traversing towering ice formations, turquoise meltwater creeks, and frozen lagoons. The experience culminates with a whiskey on the rocks with glacial ice. A less active alternative involves a picturesque boat excursion across Lake Argentino for breathtaking views of the glacier, followed by guided walks along the viewing platforms for even more dramatic perspectives of the towering ice walls. Return to Eolo in the late afternoon for a relaxed evening and dinner overlooking the valley.
Iguazu Falls (2 nights)
Depart Patagonia by small private jet to Iguazu Falls, arriving on the Brazilian side. En route to your luxury hotel, pause for a private helicopter flight over the falls, revealing breathtaking aerial views of one of the world’s most powerful natural spectacles. After taking in all 275 cascading waterfalls from above, continue by private transfer to Hotel das Cataratas, the only hotel located inside Iguazu National Park, and enjoy the afternoon at leisure. The next morning, explore the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls before the park opens to the public. Accompanied by your expert guide, you’ll have privileged access to catwalks in near solitude. Return to your hotel to relax at leisure before embarking on a high-speed zodiac ride along the river and up-close with the powerful waterfalls. As you venture into the jungle and along the riverbanks, spot local wildlife like parrots, monkeys, and armadillos.
Iguazu Falls / International Departure
Continue your luxury tour on the Argentine side of the falls where you will walk the upper and lower circuits and ride in a private train carriage to Devil’s Throat, the most powerful and dramatic section of the falls. Later in the afternoon, you’ll board your small private jet at Iguazu Airport and journey to Buenos Aires for your international flight home.
