Luxury travel to Peru
The Journey on our Machu Picchu Tour
Please note that the following is only a suggestion as all of our
luxury adventure travel journeys are custom-made
Cusco
Upon arrival of your overnight flight, you will be privately escorted
to Cusco, the city of the Children of the Sun. You will stay in the
legendary Monasterio Hotel, a monastery that was originally built
in 1592 by descendants of the Spanish Conquistadors. The monastery
was given the royal seal of approval in 1692 and was converted into
a luxury hotel in 1995. Your personal guide will give you a comprehensive
introduction to the Inca civilization and will then take you to the
most remarkable attractions the city of Cusco and its surroundings
have to offer, including a visit to the Sacsayhuaman ruins where you
will take part in a private meditation ceremony.
Sacred Valley
Your dedicated personal guide and chauffeur will show you the best
of the Sacred Valley. You will explore the impressive ruins of Pisac
in the morning, enjoy a gourmet meal in an exclusive hacienda for
lunch and discover the imposing Ollantaytambo ruins in the afternoon.
You will then have the option of experiencing a number of extraordinary
activities in the Sacred Valley. Whether you enjoy horseback riding,
hiking or mountain biking, or whether you simply wish to explore your
surroundings on a 4-wheel-drive expedition, you will be overwhelmed
by the sheer beauty of the landscape.
Machu Picchu
It is now time to experience an awe-inspiring train ride along the towering Andes and the Quechua-speaking villages of the Sacred Valley as you travel to Machu Picchu. You will either leave the train at kilometer 104 and hike the last portion of the Inca Trail with your personal guide (passing through the Gate of the Sun) or take the luxurious Hiram Bingham train all the way to Machu Picchu. Discover the spectacular ruins and check-in to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, an exclusive lodge overlooking the ruins and set in its own gardens or the luxurious Inkaterra Machu Picchu Hotel, nestled between steep mountain walls of lush Andean greenery in the valley below the site of Machu Picchu. You will enjoy well-deserved spa treatments and gourmet meals, wander in the ruins, trek to the Temple of the Moon, and, from above the clouds, you will enjoy the surreal vistas of the Andes’ peaks reaching for the sky.
Optional Extensions
You can spend some time in Lima at the start or end of your trip and discover
the beautiful historic center of Peru’s capital city. If you have extra time, we recommend combining this trip with some of the other spectacular highlights of Peru. Options include condor spotting in the Colca Canyon, a visit to the beautiful “white city” of Arequipa built in the foothills of the Misti Volcano, a private boat tour on the intense blue waters of Lake Titikaka (the highest navigable lake in the world), a flight over the Nazca Lines, or a fascinating excursion into the heart of the fabled Amazon rainforest in Tambopata National Park. It is also convenient to combine this trip with a stay in Ecuador (Quito and the Galapagos Islands). Ask us for details.

South America Tour
Travel to Machu Picchu
Ever
dreamed of a spectacular journey into the past where you can discover
the hidden treasures of one of the most fascinating civilizations
on Earth? At 8,200 feet above sea level and covering over five square
miles, our luxurious Machu Picchu tour will take you to the ruins
overlooking a lush rainforest in the heart of the Peruvian Andes.
In July 1911, a young North American expedition leader from Yale University,
Hiram Bingham, announced that he had found “The lost city of
the Incas”. This exceptional site is a remarkable remnant of
the Inca Empire at the height of its glory, and the extraordinary
harmony between its natural and cultural elements make it a “must-see”
place in a lifetime. If you experience the special moments of this
South America tour, you will find that luxury travel to Peru will
leave no regrets of truly living the history and culture.
