Luxury Family Travel to Iguassu
The Journey on our Luxury Iguassu Falls Tour
Please note that the following is only a suggestion as all of our luxury adventure travel journeys are custom-made.
Luxury Travel to Rio de Janeiro or Buenos Aires
Rio de Janeiro
Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, you will be greeted and transferred to a 5-star palace facing either Copacabana beach or Ipanema beach. Your personal guide will adapt to your pace and to your interests while introducing you to the main attractions of Rio – the Corcovado, the Sugar Loaf, the colonial churches of old Rio, the Botanical Gardens, the breathtaking beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon and Barra. You may also decide to bike along the bay of Rio or relax at the beach sipping a Caipirinha, while fully absorbing the Carioca way of life. You will then have the opportunity to enjoy a spa treatment at your hotel, gourmet typical meals and experience a selection of samba or bossa nova shows while on your luxury tour in Rio de Janeiro.
Buenos Aires
Or discover the cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires where you will stay in a luxury 5-star hotel of your choice, ideally located in the heart of the city. You will visit the sightseeing highlights of the city including the historic Plaza de Mayo and the “Casa Rosada” (pink house), San Telmo where tango was born, Palermo and its lovely parks, the chic Recoleta district and La Boca (the colorful heart of Buenos Aires), according to your interests. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional tango show at the Esquina Gardel or see a performance at the world-famous Teatro Colon in your private box. You will sample the famous Argentinean cuisine and its exquisite wines on your luxury tour in Buenos Aires.
Iguassu Falls
Imagine a unique encounter with the majestic Iguassu Falls - you will experience the falls from the ground, from the water and from the air! And then relax in your Jacuzzi and enjoy gourmet meals in the evening!
You will be greeted by your personal host upon arrival of your domestic flight. He will escort you to the Sheraton Iguazu Hotel, located on the Argentinean side of the falls, where we will always suggest the best room available for your preferred travel dates.
You will enjoy expansive panoramic vistas of the falls from the Brazilian circuit, and up close and personal views from the Argentinean side (Circuit Inferior, Circuit Superior). Envision yourself taking an exhilarating high-speed Zodiac ride and skimming along the river edging close to the roaring rapids and powerful mists. You won't believe how close you will get to the mighty falls and how minuscule you will feel! You will also experience a bird's eye view of the Iguassu Falls while enjoying a scenic helicopter ride over
the falls.
Depending on what your interests are and how much time you have, we will also arrange first-class eco-adventure tours in the jungle, a rafting session on the Iguassu River, a private excursion to the famed Jesuit Missions or a butterfly reserve. Relax in your jacuzzi and enjoy gourmet meals in the evenings.
Optional Extensions
If you have more time, we would suggest combining this luxury trip to Iguassu Falls with a luxurious stay at the archipelago of Angra Dos Reis, an adventure in the Brazilian Pantanal for some amazing wildlife viewing, a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the Amazon and / or a trip to beautiful Fernando de Noronha off of the northeastern coast of Brazil. Alternatively, Iguassu could also easily be combined with some of the highlights of Patagonia. |

Luxury Travel to Iguassu Falls
Located on a basaltic line spanning the border between Argentina and Brazil, the Iguassu Falls - "great waters" in the Guarani language - are the most spectacular falls on Earth. Named a Natural World Heritage site in 1984, the 275 individual cascades come together to produce vast sprays of water in a dazzling array of roaring white foam and rainbows. The Iguassu Falls are 60 feet higher than Niagara, and thr ee times wider. Eleanor Roosevelt exclaimed "Poor Niagara! This makes Niagara look like a kitchen faucet" after first seeing the Iguassu Falls. The falls are surrounded by sub-tropical rainforest with over 2,000 species of vascular plants and home to a wide variety of birds, insects and mammals, including the tapir, giant anteater, howling monkey, ocelot and jaguar.
